Champagne Baggage

A look through the most beautiful and distorted rose colored lens. . .providing insight on art, design, fashion, tasty-bits, social events, people, and anything that fuels a bubbly-cultured-good time and remember to pour your champagne at a slight slant.

If you follow the art and/or the fashion worlds, it should come to no surprise that the two industries are blurred-“Savage Beauty” being the most public and profitable example in recent years.

Above are runway styled looks from Japanese avant-garde label Comme des Garçons, being shown at Paris’ Les Docks.  The exhibition is curated into 33 locks, in clear glass bubbles. Unlike exhibitions such as “Savage Beauty” Rei Kawakubo (the designer) is still very much alive and the collection is current. So are garments that one could by in a showroom or boutique art? Can they be compared to prints if they are multiples? Or if couture can they be compared to and sold as unique works or paintings

Just some thoughts.
