Champagne Baggage

A look through the most beautiful and distorted rose colored lens. . .providing insight on art, design, fashion, tasty-bits, social events, people, and anything that fuels a bubbly-cultured-good time and remember to pour your champagne at a slight slant.

Opps…a left over from London…so behind! We have moved on to Milan and I’m still stuck in London-on the catch up as we speak.

Mary Katrantzou

Fall 2012

London

Katrantzou delivered per usual, but for me personally I have always enjoyed what she has to offer-I am a man of lines,Katrantzou’s lines are so very interesting…architectural, yet flowing, bright colors cut with a thick linear line finally exploded across the form-rigid, yet not at all normative. . I love it.

beau et une perfection!

My favorite from London Fashion Week…why can’t we see winter clothes during winter?

I love it. Layers, furs, coats=smart-smart, not to mention a whimsical runway set based on Maurice Sendak’s Wild-Things.

Inspirational, beautiful, and full of passion…

(The feeling Ralph Lauren conveys in this piece is what I am in search of . . I hope we all are searching for it or have found it and are living it.)

Thursday, September 15

I like what I like…and I think in these hard times we need to see something light, playful, something that makes us remember the good times that came before- and the ones yet to come. The 1920’s is a perfect example of a new Americana and I think its safe to say Ralph had the period in mind. Here are my favorites from the show-these are of course evening wear selections-I mean champagne anyone? …out of a never ending bottle-HELLO

The ready wear/day wear was fairly droll and to be honest seemed washed out. Thank god he hit it out of the park if park with evening-he sure did. Another glass good sir.
