It is almost the day of love and niceties, the cherry on top…a lovely Champagne Cocktail!
I suggest the classic-if your with your luvah or with your wonderful self, it will hit some kinda spot and is beautiful to boot (its also my favorite for entertaining-simple, while looking complicated)… just like me (and you).
; )
Here we go:
3 oz. Chilled Champagne (or more, whatevah)
(Deutz, Pol Roger, Mumm, Taittinger, and my fav: Piper-Heidsieck) 1/2 oz. Cognac (optional, but oh so tasty) 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters 1 Sugar Cube
Garnish: Maraschino Cherry & Lemon Twist
Such a classic, so yummy, and beautiful…what more could you ever want?
Enjoy my pets, enjoy.

Yes Poodles…I am still sick and starting to go a wee bit stir-crazy, locked in my Ivory tower.
Here is a super-sweet recipe I found. Sounds like a remedy to me!
1/4 cup Fresh Squeezed Meyers Lemon Juice
1/2 cup Fresh Squeezed Blood Orange Juice
1 teaspoon Honey
1 Shot of Makers Mark Bourbon
1 Cinnamon Stick
 Hot Water
In each tumbler combine juices with honey and bourbon.
Add just enough hot water to fill the glass not quite to the top. Serve with cinnamon stick.
*By adding all the juices this does not say warm for long, so you may want to warm the juices before if you are not serving immediately.
from table nine.

Drinks before 12am need a little extra something, this recipe is just that…freeze your “bloody cubes” on a hot day (too bad its not warm out yet-wishful thinking) and enjoy a stiff one chipmunks.

Ingredients:
12 ounces premium Bloody Mary mix
2 teaspoons Sriracha
4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
Celery salt
12 ounces premium vodka
4 celery stick, for garnish
Freshly ground pepper, for garnish
Directions:
In a medium measuring cup, combine the Bloody Mary mix, Sriracha, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray with large ice cube compartments, making eight equal cubes. Place the tray in the freezer for at least two hours to freeze solid.
When you are ready to serve, rim each glass with celery salt. Place two prepared ice cubes in each glass and fill with three ounces of room-temperature vodka.
Garnish with a celery stick and freshly ground black pepper. Swirl your drink with the celery to help get the blood flowing.
